That flag isn’t rectangular!

Been a while since we’ve posted anything here - busy, busy, busy!

But we’ve been moved to write after seeing the Nepalese flag.

It’s the only non-rectangular flag in the world, the two triangles that make up the flag belong to rival branches of the Rana dynasty which used to rule the country.  The triangles were joined in the last century.

Nepal exports mainly carpets, clothing, leather goods, jute goods and grain. Its main imports are commodities such as gold, machinery and equipment, petroleum products and fertiliser. India, the US and Germany are its main export partners. Its import partners include India, the United Arab Emirates, China, Saudi Arabia and Singapore.
