OF THE CULTIVED ROSEHIPS, “PLOVDIV 1” VARIETY

1. Mechanical composition of the fruits:
- Flesh is 61.2 %;
- Seeds (the real fruits) – 37.6 %;
- Sepals and spines – 1.2 %.

2. Chemical composition of the fruits:
The general data resulting from a research of many years by indices is as follows:

- Dry substance: 36-40 %
- Total fructose – 7-15 %
- Acids – 1.7-3.4 %
- Vitamin C – 1100-2000 mgCarotene 10-17 %
- Pectin 8-11 %

3. Chemical composition of the “seeds”:
- Hygroscopic humidity 18.84 %
- Dry substance 91.16 %
- Raw protein 8.62 %
- Raw fibers – 55.69 %
- Raw ashes 2.04 %
- Non-nitric substances 18.17 %
