Our beautiful new, meticulously crafted cutting boards are made from bamboo, one of the world's most beautiful and renewable resources. Bamboo is actually a naturally occurring grass and some varieties can grow one foot in a day. It is 16% harder than Maple, so it provides a perfect cutting surface. Bamboo holds the promise of a sustainable, cost effective and ecologically responsible alternative to the widespread clear cutting of our world's precious timberland. All of our cutting boards are pressed with a food-grade (edible) glue. The Executive Chef cutting board comes in a unique honey-striped finish using natural & honey tone bamboo glued together with food grade glue.
